What is a Quincy?
Quincy are a rare breed of spiritually aware Human warriors whose main ability focuses on the manipulation of Reiryoku in order to create powerful bow and arrows for combat. Their means of fighting and weapons are vastly different from that of a Shinigami, using spiritual particles drawn from their surroundings instead of using their own Reiryoku, to manifest their weapons, and being able to summon said bow and arrows through a Quincy Cross as opposed to a Shinigami’s Zanpakuto.

Formation of a Quincy
How a Quincy is “truly” formed is actually very vague, but because they are still Human, the formation of their powers and abilities could be classified as one with an aware Human, implying that it is somehow related to how they manifest their powers. It is vaguely known that Quincy have existed for Centuries and were a natural response from Humans who became aware of the presence of Hollows, developing techniques to fight the evil spirits, though more details are unknown. Still, the line of Quincy continues through birth, even though the true origins remain unknown. However, they are still born Quincy, unlike other Human who develop vastly unique and different powers, and are trained to use the same techniques passed down for generations.

Reiryoku Manipulation and Absorption
A Quincy absorbs the spiritual energy within the atmosphere and combines it with their own spiritual energy to form weapons, in this case, their well known bow and arrows. These Quincy have a better time absorbing spiritual energy from within places of highly condensed spiritual particles such as the Soul Society or Hueco Mundo. Though, to a more advanced and powerful Quincy, the difference between spiritual particles and spiritual energy is irrelevant as a source of power. Not only does a Quincy use this Reiryoku Manipulation and Absorption to form bow and arrows, they also use it to form other manners of weapons such as the Seele Schneider and the Ginto.

Travel Capabilities
Being Human, Quincy share the same travel capabilities. Traveling normally within the living world is considered quick and free, however their are restrictions on reaching other planes of existence.

Traveling to Soul Society requires you to at least be a level 20+ and have the authorization of a member of Yobunha and an Officer Class Shinigami or higher. It takes 4 hours(real Time) in order for the proper Senkaimon to be prepared that is safe for a human to use. Traveling to Hueco Mundo requires you to be level 30+, 8 hours(real time) in which a Garganta safe for non-hollows to travel through is created as well as authorization of a leader member of Yobunha, but is not recommended unless absolutely necessary to the dangers posed.

Quincy Player Notes
Remember as a Quincy your stats won't vary as much between you and your brethren as some of the other races. The power of your arrows is based on your spirit stat which will no doubt be of high value to you and all other quincy, and the firing rate of your arrows per turn is your Manipulation stat divided by ten which will also be of great use to you.

Evolution of a Quincy

Human
This is the most common tier in Quincy development, and also the most populated. Humans at this stage have virtually zero spiritual abilities, and even if they develop some means of Reiryoku development, it’s pitiful at best and are almost completely useless in battle and would only prove to be a liability. Their knowledge in true Quincy skills are lacking, and any attempt to try and form a bow and arrow would prove futile. Though, Quincy at this stage are also in room for development, where as they actually begin manifesting their Reiryoku to form their basic Quincy weapons.

Awakened Quincy
The second stage of Quincy development, as these Quincy are now becoming spiritually aware and are at the very first steps of Reiryoku manipulation. They are more tune with their Reiryoku, and could absorb very small amounts of spiritual particles and can possibly form bow and arrows in their hands, which could provide the minimum means of protection in battle, but without the same strength as a more powerful Quincy. Still, their knowledge of powerful techniques such as Hirenkyaku and the formation of the Seele Schneider, are far out of reach for them.

Skilled Quincy
This third stage of Quincy is one of the rarer forms, as these Quincy are now as strong as higher-ranked officers or even Lieutenant-level Shinigami. Their ability of spiritual awareness is more fine tuned and their Reiryoku manipulation has crafted itself to the point where forming bow and arrows are now relatively easier and takes a much more finer and constructed shape than before. Though they are not as close to learning techniques such as the formation of the Seele Schneider, they now are able to learn moves such as Hirenkyaku. Their ability to absorb spiritual particles are now much larger and faster, also.

Expert Quincy
An even rarer stage of Quincy development, these Quincy are now about as strong as Captain-Level Shinigami and could even pose a threat to the Soul Society. Their spiritual awareness is reaching their max limit, such as their abilities to detect Hollow in the vicinity are almost instant. Their Reiryoku Manipulation is near perfect and the formation of a bow and arrows are much stronger than before. Techniques such as the formation of a Seele Schneider and Hirenkyaku prove to be no trouble for them. Absorption and manipulation of spiritual particles is almost instant.

Elder Quincy
The final stage, the rarest and most powerful stage of Quincy development when they are at their prime. Most Quincy usually achieve this stage at their old age, hence the name, this also indicates that training can take several years before any hopeful Quincy even fathom attempting to reach this. Their absorption and manipulation of spiritual particles are instant and can encompass vast distances. The formation of a bow and arrow are perfect and can cause widespread destruction. The spiritual awareness of a Quincy is now at its peak as it is perfectly fine tuned. Techniques such as the formation of the Seele Schneider and Hirenkyaku are perfect, and their manipulation of Reiryoku Manipulation is far beyond the comprehension of any lower level Quincy.
